On September 19, at the Center for Reception of Martyrs' Relatives and Nursing of People with Meritorious Services to the Revolution, the Department of Home Affairs of Dien Bien in coordination with the Department of Health organized medical examinations for war invalids, sick soldiers, people infected with toxic chemicals and relatives of heroic martyrs.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Director of the Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs, this is an activity that shows deep gratitude for the contributions of previous generations in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
"This is the first nursing session organized after implementing the two-level local government. Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs has received the function of state management of meritorious people from the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (old) - Mr. Dat emphasized.


At the program, doctors specializing in Internal Medicine, ENT, Eye, Dentistry (Dien Bien General Hospital) tested blood, ultrasound, electrocardiogram, and consulted on health conditions for 38 war invalids, sick soldiers, people infected with toxic chemicals and relatives of heroic martyrs.
As one of the people who were examined this time, Mr. Dinh Van Phuc (82 years old, Thanh An commune, Dien Bien province) said: "The State's attention to sending us to nursing, today we received medical examination and health consultation from doctors, we are very touched".

On this occasion, the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Health presented 38 gifts, each worth 600,000 VND in cash, to war invalids, sick soldiers and martyrs' relatives.
According to the plan in 2025, Dien Bien province will organize nursing care for 138 subjects including war invalids, sick soldiers, people infected with toxic chemicals and relatives of heroic martyrs. The program is divided into 3 phases, taking place in September-October 2025.
