On September 12, 108 Central Military Hospital informed that the unit had just received and treated patient N.T.T (born in 1990) in a state of painful swelling and flatulence on both sides of the chest after receiving a filler injection 5 years ago.
The patient said that he had been injected with a fillers at a private cosmetic facility (the quantity and type of injections are unknown). After the injection, the chest increased in volume.
However, in the past 2 months, the patient has had swelling and pain in both breasts, with many red patches and dilated vessels. The patient took antibiotics on her own but did not improve, her chest was increasingly painful, she was swollen and had many hard areas, with white, cloudy breast vutage.
Patients were taken to the Cosmetic Center, Military Central Hospital 108 examination and treatment. The ultrasound results show that: the mammary glands are not homogeneous, in the subcutaneous fat layer and the parenchyma with many sounds reduced sound, scattered drums. The right breast has a size of 70x15mm, the left breast has 80x20mm mass, both in the form of inflammation and surrounding soft tissue. Images after filler injection, with right breast abscess inflammation.

Dr. Hoang Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Aesthetic Center, 108 Central Military Hospital, said that the doctors performed a pus culture and discovered a buildup of yellow blood cells - bacteria that caused strong infections. The patient was given antibiotics according to antibiotics and had cataract surgery to remove pus, remove inflammatory secretions, and remove silicon, while preserving tuyen and bust tissue.
"This case shows the risk of serious complications from injecting breast fillers of unknown origin, not ensuring sterility. Women need to carefully study the cosmetic facility, vaccines and monitor their health periodically, avoid self-treating when there are unusual signs to protect their safety," the doctor recommended.
