On the afternoon of September 12, continuing the 49th Session, the National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed the report on the National Assembly's petition work in August 2025.
Presenting the report, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Petition and Supervision Duong Thanh Binh said that voters and people are interested in the implementation of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development.
According to Mr. Binh, voters and people believe that the policies stated in the Resolution are like breathing a "new vitality" into the education sector, showing an important turning point in the thinking, vision and implementation of education and training policies.
At the same time, it demonstrates the determination and strong political commitment of the Party and State towards the goal of making Vietnam a developed country with high income by 2045.
The Chairman of the Petition and Supervision Committee said that the 2025-2026 school year is the first year that the whole country will operate according to the two-level government model, implementing the exemption of all tuition fees for public students and studying two sessions/day...
Mr. Binh said that the implementation of the two-level local government model has initially received consensus and high appreciation from the majority of cadres, civil servants and people when the apparatus operates stably and smoothly.
However, this process also arose with some difficulties and problems; the implementation of public administrative procedures in many places was not guaranteed, there was a lack of investment resources for digital infrastructure, leading to unsynchronized database systems, network infrastructure and shared software; the connection and sharing of data between levels was limited.

In addition, voters and people also expressed concern about unfavorable weather developments, heavy rain, prolonged flooding, landslides on many national and provincial highways, and heavy damage to people and property in many localities.
Violations of food hygiene and safety still occur; the situation of counterfeit goods and food of unknown origin; fluctuations in the gold market and foreign exchange market; fraud in cyberspace, fraud through illegal financial investment and virtual currency investment.
On social networking platforms, there is a lot of conflicting information or attacking, defaming, insulting each other, creating complicated public opinion... there needs to be a good public orientation, preventing these news sites.
The Standing Committee of the Petition and Supervision Committee recommended that the National Assembly Standing Committee request the Government and the Prime Minister to continue to direct a number of contents of concern to voters at present.
Accordingly, relevant ministries and branches consider prioritizing budget support, especially from the central government, to invest in upgrading digital transformation infrastructure, data centers and platforms for direction and operation.
Invest in and upgrade natural disaster-resistant infrastructure, improve forecasting and early warning capacity, closely monitor climate change developments and develop appropriate response scenarios to help minimize damage, ensure safety for people during the rainy and flood season;
It is necessary to strengthen management and strict control of gold prices and foreign exchange rates. Strengthen the fight against, prevention and handling of fraud crimes through the form of illegal financial investment and virtual currency investment.
