FPT Corporation and Tokushukai Medical Group (Japan) officially announced digital transformation cooperation in the field of healthcare and healthcare. The event is considered an important step to promote the application of modern technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital data into medical examination and treatment activities in Vietnam and Japan.
Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan - Deputy Minister of Health, Chairman of the National Medical Council - emphasized that this is not only a cooperation event between two large corporations but also a "meaningful meeting point between Vietnamese technological intelligence and Japan's advanced medical management experience".
According to Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan, in the healthcare sector, good software is not simply a technology product but must also become a tool to help restructure hospital procedures, connect data, reduce waiting times, limit errors and improve safety for patients.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that digital transformation in healthcare cannot only stop at the informatization of administrative procedures but needs to delve into the "core" of the system, including hospital administration, electronic medical records, electronic health records, clinical data, professional decision support and chronic disease management.
Also according to the Deputy Minister, this cooperation is also within the direction of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation in the health sector.
Leaders of the Ministry of Health believe that if implemented methodically and substantively, the cooperation between FPT and Tokushukai will create value beyond the scope of a conventional technology project, contributing to connecting technology, management and medicine, towards the highest goal of caring for and protecting human health.
According to the cooperation content, FPT and affiliated companies will be allowed to use the Tokushukai brand in healthcare activities in Vietnam. The two sides also coordinate to develop modern information technology solutions in the field of healthcare and healthcare for hospital systems in Vietnam and Japan.
Mr. Ito Naoki - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam - assessed that combining the strengths of the two corporations will contribute to strongly promoting digital health transformation, while bringing many advanced healthcare products and services to the people of the two countries.
According to Mr. Ito Naoki, Vietnam's issuance of Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health is an important foundation for businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation in the field of digital healthcare in the coming time.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation - affirmed that right from its establishment, FPT has pursued the direction of technology development for people.
We believe that technology must serve human happiness, in which health is the most important foundation. FPT wants to apply artificial intelligence to better care for the health of each individual," Mr. Binh shared.
