In 3 consecutive issues of newspapers 107, 108, 109 (dated from May 11 to 13, 2025), Lao Dong Newspaper published a series of articles on "Inadequacies in handling surplus public assets after the merger" reflecting on the situation of surplus and abandoned headquarters in the North Central provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Nghe An. On May 20, the Ministry of Finance issued a document reporting to the National Assembly on this issue.
