On July 10, representatives of the Golden Heart Social Support Fund and leaders of Quoi An commune, Vinh Long province visited and presented donations from readers of Lao Dong Newspaper to Le Minh Luan (26 years old) struggling with end-stage kidney failure.
After the article "26-year-old man struggling with kidney failure, old mother borrowing money from everywhere and selling all of her assets" published in Lao Dong Newspaper, readers from near and far sent a donation of VND 27,910,000 to the family to reduce difficulties.
Le Minh Luan's situation is struggling with end-stage kidney failure, having to self-fysterize his abdominal page 4 times a day while his body is exhausted due to anemia and dyslipidemia.
Luan said he used to work in Ho Chi Minh City. After Tet 2025, Luan suddenly suffered a stroke and discovered a serious illness. Despite the pain, Luan still wished to be cured so that he could go to work and take care of his elderly mother - who raised him alone after his father passed away early.
"I would like to thank readers of Lao Dong Newspaper and benefactors for their attention and support of nearly 28 million VND so that I can have more conditions for treatment and more motivation to overcome the most difficult period of my life," Mr. Luan said emotionally.

On the same day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Chinh (born in 1965) - the character in the article "disease, collapse, old lady U70 still trying to raise two orphans to study" - received 4,950,000 VND from readers of Lao Dong Newspaper.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Chinh (1965) has a gynecological disease and has to undergo surgery twice. She currently owes nearly 20 million VND. Her husband has a heart disease and still works as a construction worker to make a living.
The couple's son died early, and they became the only support to raise their two grandchildren - one in grade 12, the other a student at Vinh Long University of Technical Education. Despite some support from the locality, the burden still weighed heavily on the elderly and weak shoulders of the couple.
Mr. Nguyen Van Mon Em - Chairman of Quoi An Commune People's Committee - sent his sincere thanks to the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund of Lao Dong Newspaper and readers for their attention and timely support for the difficult situation in the locality.
At the same time, he expressed his hope that the Fund will continue to accompany, spread love, and help many unfortunate lives rise up in life.
