On September 13, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, Director of the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund (XHTT) attended the inauguration ceremony of the 2-storey, 4-room school building of Huong Lien Kindergarten with a total investment of more than 4 billion VND, of which the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund sponsored 2.8 billion VND, the remaining 30% was the counterpart capital of the People's Committee of Huong Khe district.
Before the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien and the leaders of the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor took the time to visit the Huong Lien Commune boarding house, just a few hundred meters from Huong Lien Kindergarten. This is a project with a total investment of 2.8 billion VND, completed and put into use in 2022.
Of which, the Golden Heart Social Support Fund sponsored 2.2 billion VND, and the Ha Tinh Provincial Labor Federation was the investor and matched 600 million VND. The project includes 10 rooms for teachers and union members working in the mountainous commune of Huong Lien.
Visiting this dormitory, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper, Director of the Tam Long Vang Fund for Social and Cultural Exchange, together with Mr. Nguyen Van Danh - Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Labor Federation, asked about the living and eating conditions, the functionality of the project, and listened to the thoughts, wishes, and recommendations of the teachers...
Ms. Dinh Thi Hang Mo (28 years old, from Quang Binh province) - a teacher at Huong Lien Primary School, is one of the teachers staying in this dormitory - shared: "The construction is of high quality, airy, with private bathrooms, serving my dormitory very effectively. Thanks to this dormitory, my work is very convenient, and I feel secure in dedicating myself to the profession of spreading knowledge in this remote commune."
Ms. Mo's house is in Quang Binh province, about 80km from Huong Lien Primary School where she works. In 2022, as soon as she started working, she was fortunate to be assigned a room in a boarding house sponsored by the Golden Heart Social Support Fund that had just been completed.
That year, she had just given birth to a baby, so Ms. Mo brought her child to live with her in the dormitory for convenience in taking care of her and working. Now her child is almost 3 years old, so she sent her child back to her hometown in Quang Binh to go to preschool.
Many cadres, teachers, and union members who are staying at the Huong Lien commune dormitory also shared their joy and expressed their thanks to Lao Dong Newspaper, the Golden Heart Social Support Fund, and the Ha Tinh Labor Union for their interest and investment in building this meaningful and practical project. Thanks to that, they have convenient living and eating conditions to work with peace of mind.
Mr. Phan Thanh Le - Vice Chairman of Huong Lien Commune People's Committee shared: "Since being put into use, Huong Lien Commune's dormitory has served very effectively and practically for cadres and teachers working here far from home. Currently, all rooms are occupied. It must be affirmed that this is a very meaningful and practical project. We are very grateful to Lao Dong Newspaper, the Golden Heart Social Security Fund, and the Ha Tinh Provincial Labor Federation for sponsoring the construction of this project."
