This career network website says that the new job search engine will use AI. This tool allows users to enter and search for exactly what they want, instead of relying solely on filters such as location, industry or title.
The online giant said this means users can search for jobs with phrases, such as "finding me an entry-level brand management position in the fashion industry" or " jobs for analysts who love to solve sustainability challenges".
Linkide's update comes amid growing concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence on the job market. One of them is the concern that it could replace some administrative positions in the coming years.
Last week, a survey from Acas's dispute training and support service showed that more than one in four workers were concerned that AI would lead to job loss, while nearly one in five were concerned that the technology could cause errors.
But Zara Easton, head of LinkedIn's brand marketing department, said the company also believes that the technology can help people easily find new roles and career paths, in a system that many find uncomfortable or difficult to track when new roles and careers appear.
AI is changing the way we work, and job searching on LinkedIn will completely change the way people look for their next opportunities, she said.
We hope that the way we explore this role and even a new career will combine the skills, interests and aspirations of job seekers to find their next steps.
As work continues to change and new job titles appear that didnt even exist a few years ago, skills become more important than ever and our AI-powered tools can help people orient their own path.
