The storm moved through Santa Barbara county at a speed of up to 128 km/h, with up to 127 mm of rain in the area in just 5 minutes, causing trees to fall and power lines to be everywhere. The storm caused an important highway to be deeply submerged in water and mud.
The cars drove through flooded roads in the Panorama City area of San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles.
The situation is very dangerous, the National Meteorological Agency warned, stressing that heavy rains could cause landslides on hillsides, carrying rocks, soil, and mud.
