On the afternoon of June 2, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hau Giang province - informed that the provincial interdisciplinary team had completed the inspection of 2 slaughterhouses in the province to process for CP Company.
The two inspection facilities include the Dam - Nga slaughterhouse (Long Thanh commune, Phung Hiep district) and the Nguyen Dan Hau Giang concentrated slaughterhouse (Thanh Xuan commune, Chau Thanh A district).


"After the inspection is completed, the team will have a report. Tomorrow, I will work with the delegation to review, re-examine the inspection results of the delegation and make a conclusion," said Mr. Hoang Anh.
According to the investigation, the Dung - Nga facility, owned by Ms. Tran Thi Nga, is gathering about 500 pigs from the Republic of Vietnam. On average, the slaughter facility slaughters about 30 - 40 pigs/day. The area of the slaughter area is about 500m2.
At the time of inspection, Mr. Ha Huu Tam - Management of slaughter facilities, C.P Company in Hau Giang said that the image on March 26, 2022 was posted and spread online as the image taken at the slaughter facility - Russia. When the pig was discovered not clean, not guaranteed to be marketed, the slaughterhouse was coordinated with the company and the veterinary agency to handle and sign a decision to cancel the pig by burning and used for other purposes of feeding fish.
Nguyen Dan Hau Giang concentrated livestock and poultry slaughterhouse owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Bien. At the time of inspection, this facility had temporarily stopped operating. At the scene, lime and powder were spread in many locations and part of the barn was cleaned.


The Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hau Giang province added that the team will continue to inspect all slaughterhouses in the province to ensure food safety and hygiene for the people.
On the same day, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang also informed that the VII Department of Animal Health had results in a sample of pork collection at a store on Le Hong Phong Street (Soc Trang City). According to the notice No. 0706/TB-TYV7-TH, the results are not detected the African swine cholera virus; Classic pig cholera and reproductive and respiratory disorders in North American pigs.

This person accused the store and some leaders of bringing the meat to the market with poor quality.
The poster informed that the above behavior will seriously affect public health and hoped that the authorities would investigate and strictly handle if violations were discovered.
Regarding the incident, on the same day, Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province Tran Van Lau directed the Soc Trang Provincial Police and related agencies to conduct an inspection, and if there were any violations, they would be strictly handled according to the law.
