Storm No. 3 causes heavy damage when it hits China and Vietnam

Storm No. 3 Yagi left serious consequences after making landfall in provinces and cities of China and Vietnam.
According to the latest storm forecast of the Vietnam National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the morning of September 8, storm No. 3 weakened into a tropical depression in the Northwest region. At 4:00 a.m. on September 8, the center of the tropical depression was at about 21.2 degrees north latitude; 104.8 degrees east longitude, on land in the Northwest region.
Super Typhoon Yagi, the strongest storm to hit Asia this year, made landfall on the coast of China's Hainan province and Guangdong province on the afternoon of September 6.
The storm packed peak winds of 233km/h as it swept through the region, home to millions of people. Haikou Airport in Hainan recorded gusts of 172km/h as the eye of the storm made landfall.
As of 3:00 p.m. on September 6, super typhoon Yagi had killed at least 4 people, injured 95 people in Hainan, and caused infrastructure damage of more than 102 million USD.
