A 3-year-old girl was pulled up to the sky by a large kite in strong winds at Nam Lieu port, Tan Truc city on August 30, Taiwan News reported.
The 2020 International Kite Festival opened in Tan Truc last weekend. This is a northeastern area of Taiwan that is famous for strong winds. The incident of a girl being pulled up to the sky by a kite occurred on the afternoon of August 30 when a kite with a long tail suddenly flew up due to a sudden gusts of wind.
The 3-year-old girl in the incident was identified as Lin. Lin's belly was caught in a tit-tailed strip and was immediately pulled up by a large tit-tailed crow.
A film about the shocking incident involving a girl in Taiwan shared on social media shows the girl seemingly roaring fiercely in the sky for a few seconds before the kite was pulled down to the ground by someone. A group of people waited to pick up the girl when she fell. The scene was filled with loud screams at that time.
Taiwan News reported that the girl only suffered minor scratches on her face and neck. It is known that the girl went to the kite festival with her mother. After the incident, the mother and baby were immediately taken to the hospital by the organizers.
Tan Truc City authorities have immediately stopped the kite festival following the incident involving a 3-year-old girl. City Mayor Lin Chih-chien later apologized via Facebook. He added that authorities will begin investigating the incident to prevent similar cases from recurring in the future.

She affirmed that children are often kept at a distance until the kite flies into the sky, but a sudden strong wind suddenly occurred.
