The politician of the German BSW party believes that it is necessary to resume the supply of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline as well as Russian gas through the Nord Stream pipeline.

German Co-President of the BSW Party Amira Mohamed Ali made this request at the BSW Party congress in Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Of course, we must import Russian oil at preferential prices back to Schwedt through the Druzhba pipeline" - TASS quoted the German politician as saying.

She believes that oil supplies from Russia not only help a refinery but also contribute to reducing fuel prices in general in Germany.

Ms. Amira Mohamed Ali also supported the resumption of Russian gas supplies through the Nord Stream pipeline, according to German news agency DPA.

Our country and our economy need this pipeline" - the German politician emphasized.

Previously, BSW co-founder Sarah Wagenknecht called on the German government to resume Russian oil supplies. According to her, in the context of events in the Middle East, resuming Russian oil supplies to Germany is necessary.

She noted that, according to the German Federal Statistical Office, the risk of poverty in eastern Germany has increased to the highest level in the past 5 years. According to micro-demographic data, in 2025 this figure is 17.3% - the highest level since 2021.

In another development, Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Matteo Salvini also called on the EU to ease sanctions on Russian oil. He also suggested that Brussels make a realistic choice.
