Daily Mail reported that Friday - the world's tallest dog with a height of 2.1 meters when standing on the back legs - continued to be recognized as the world's longest-lived Great Dane dog on the occasion of his 8th birthday on May 17.
The owner of the dog, 8:00 Stoneman, living in Weeting, Norfolk, UK, held a birthday party to celebrate this important day.
The party was attended by Friday's best friend, 7-year-old Erin Manley, and Friday's sister, fleur, both of whom were born a few minutes after Friday.
The owner of 8:00 said: ''Freddy and fleur had a great birthday party. We have decorated the garden and prepared countless favorite foods and toys for them''.
Ms. 8:00 also said that raising two dogs is quite expensive, up to 635 USD per month to buy food specifically for dogs, grilled beef, grilled chicken and other food. Every day, she often takes the two dogs for a walk in the early morning to avoid meeting people because of their large size, which makes many people feel scared.
As for the girl from Erin, a second-grade student, who was born just a few months after Friday and grew up together, she is very familiar with the massive appearance of this 4-legged friend. Ms. 8:00 said that before her social detachment, Erin would visit at least twice a week and call Friday every evening. Erin and Friday are close friends.
The Friday dog has won the Guinness World Record for the first time as the tallest dog in the world with an official measurement of 1.035 meters up to the back when standing on all four legs. Now, Guinness World Organization has confirmed in its records that Friday is also the oldest Great Dane dog on record.
