According to the content of the 15-second clip posted on the fanpage "Binh Dinh Thong Tin", a woman loudly said "get out of the way", then repeatedly hit another woman in the head, causing the victim to scream, causing disorder in the premises of the People's Committee headquarters of Cat Tien town.
Just a few hours after being posted, the clip attracted hundreds of comments and shares. Many accounts also said that this was an act of violence, which needed to be condemned and strictly handled according to the law.
According to the reporter's investigation, the victim was hospitalized for emergency treatment and reported the incident to the Cat Tien Town Police (Phu Cat District).
In the afternoon of the same day, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of Phu Cat District People's Committee - confirmed that there was a fight between people participating in the land auction held at the headquarters of Cat Tien Town People's Committee on the evening of September 16.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the district borrowed the headquarters of the People's Committee of Cat Tien town to auction 58 land lots in the Residential Area east of Ong Sung stream (Cat Tien town), invested by the district. The unit hired to organize the auction was Dong Duong Joint Stock Auction Company.
"Because there were so many people participating, the auction only ended at 9:30 p.m. During the auction, some participants got into a fight. The police are currently investigating and clarifying the incident," said Mr. Hung.
As reported by Lao Dong, on September 11, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested units and localities to seriously organize and implement the auction of land use rights in accordance with legal regulations.
