The Danish government has suspended plans to build a solid fuel production facility for missiles to supply Fire Point - a Ukrainian defense company. This information was shared by a senior company leader with the Financial Times.
The Danish government previously used national security regulations to overcome legal obstacles that could arise around the construction of facilities in the town of Vojens, south of the Jutland peninsula. This is the intended site for producing fuel for Fire Point missile systems.
However, the project announced in September last year was quietly stopped in early May 2026, Mr. Denis Shtilerman - Design Director and co-owner of Fire Point - revealed.
Fire Point emerged as a phenomenon in the Ukrainian defense sector, once said to have won contracts worth up to 1 billion USD.
However, monitoring records released by Ukrainian media since April show that businessman Timur Mindich - who is wanted in Ukraine in connection with allegations of corruption of about 100 million USD in the energy sector - is actually the controller of Fire Point in 2025.
Mr. Shtilerman denied these allegations, and noted that these rumors had affected the company's plans. He said that Fire Point's products could contribute to creating a "European-wide air defense shield".
According to him, the Gulf countries, Germany and some other countries have shown strong interest in the company's technology.
