On June 15, the Israeli military said Iran had launched dozens of missiles into Israeli territory over an hour in the early morning (local time), but confirmed that some of the missiles were intercepted.
Currently, Israeli rescue forces are conducting damage assessments at some locations where reports of fallen objects have been reported, mainly related to infrastructure. However, the Israeli side has not commented on the casualties.
Israeli media said a missile fell on Tel Aviv and there were loud explosions in Israel. It is not yet clear whether the explosions were caused by Iranian missiles or from Israel's defense system.
On the same day, Iranian media recorded several explosions in the capital Tehran, in which the target of the attack was identified as Mehrabad airport.
The damage is believed to have occurred after many witnesses saw the fire at the scene. The area is located near strategic locations of Iran; in which, the airport is home to an air base with many fighter jets and transport.
Meanwhile, Israeli media confirmed that the attacks in the early morning of June 15 targeted the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defense and the logistics facilities of the country's Armed Forces.
An administrative building is said to have suffered only minor damage. However, the Iranian government has yet to make any official comments on the latest developments.
