Speaking to the press, Mr. Rodion Miroshnik, Mobile Ambassador of the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized that Moscow has no intention of delaying the resumption of dialogue. He said that for negotiations to progress, there needs to be consensus from the three sides including Russia, the US and Ukraine.
According to Mr. Miroshnik, an important factor today is the US decision to appoint a representative to participate in dialogue with Iran. He said that if the same negotiating group is assigned to handle both Iran and Ukraine dossiers, the process related to Ukraine may be postponed.
However, he affirmed that this does not create fundamental obstacles to the continuation or promotion of the negotiation process to resolve the conflict. According to him, the Russian side still maintains its willingness to participate and does not hinder the resumption of dialogue.
The statement of the Russian diplomatic representative shows that Moscow still leaves open the possibility of restoring the negotiation channel, in the context that international factors, especially the role of the United States, may affect the specific time and process.
