In the afternoon of April 9, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) chaired the 4th Conference of the Executive Committee of the VGCL Party Committee.
Attending were representatives of the Central Party Building Committees; Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Mr. Vu Anh Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; members of the Standing Committee: Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Thai Thu Xuong and Vice Presidents: Phan Van Anh, Huynh Thanh Xuan.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that delegates give opinions and discuss a number of contents including: Results of the first quarter, including caring for workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026; Preparations for the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress with many important documents; Expected Congress to take place from May 28-30 in Hanoi; Relationship between the Party Committee and the Party Committee and directly affiliated Party cells...

The Party Committee of the General Confederation currently has 486 party members. According to the Report on the results of the first quarter's work and key tasks for the second quarter of 2026 presented by Mr. Vu Anh Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, in the first quarter of 2026, the collective Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the General Confederation and affiliated Party committees at all levels have shown a high spirit of solidarity and unity, efforts, and striving to closely follow the work program to complete a large volume of assigned tasks, especially key personnel work and leadership and direction of Tet Nguyen Dan 2026 care for workers.
Regarding leadership in performing political tasks, the report clearly stated the results of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; Propaganda and mobilization of union members and workers and deployment of patriotic emulation movements; Building strong trade union organizations.
In which, it is noteworthy that the Party Committee leads and directs the promotion of the Party's guidelines and resolutions, policies and laws of the State; focusing on propagating the results of the 14th National Party Congress, the results of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, activities to care for Tet for union members and workers and emulation movements right from the beginning of 2026.
The Party Committee continues to lead and direct trade union levels to focus on building strong trade union organizations; focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; pay attention to introducing outstanding union members for the Party to consider, nurture, and admit. The application of information technology and digital transformation in union member management, organizational management, and trade union communication continues to be concerned, gradually improving the quality of service for union members and workers; contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Trade Union organization in the new situation.
Regarding Party building work, the Report clearly stated that the Party Committee continues to lead and direct the synchronous implementation of tasks on Party building organization work; review, arrange, and consolidate the organizational structure associated with improving the quality of the contingent of cadres and civil servants.
Along with that, the Party Committee considered, gave opinions and decided on many important contents related to personnel work, transfer, appointment, early retirement, recognition of lower-level election results, appraisal of political standards for cadres and party members and preparation of contents to serve the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
Party cell activities continue to be maintained in a regular manner, strictly implementing Directive No. 50-CT/TW of the Secretariat; 100% of branches and directly affiliated Party committees organize periodic activities according to regulations, the content of activities is increasingly rich, closely following the guidance of superiors and the actual situation in each Party cell. Regarding propaganda and mass mobilization work, the Party Committee has drastically directed the dissemination and study of the Resolution of the XIV Congress associated with professional and specific tasks of the Trade Union organization. The Party Committee has coordinated to successfully organize a national online conference to study, study, thoroughly grasp and implement the Resolution of the XIV Party Congress, Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo; advised on building Report No. 83-BC/ĐUTLĐ-TG&DV dated January 7, 2026 on orienting the public opinion situation; issued Guidance No. 05-HD/BTG&DV dated January 31, 2026 on oral propaganda work, speaker and propagandist activities in 2026.

In the second quarter of 2026, a number of key tasks were set out. In which, continue to lead and direct the thorough grasp, concretization and effective implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, Directive 58-CT/TW dated January 2026 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over propaganda, political and ideological education, and law for workers in the new situation, resolutions and conclusions of the Central Government, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Party Committee at higher levels.
Strengthen the inspection and supervision of the implementation of resolutions and conclusions of the Party Committee; pay attention to innovating leadership methods in a close, drastic and timely direction.
