Important support wave for Palestine

After 2024, 2025 will witness a new wave of support for Palestine in the decades-long conflict with Israel in the Middle East when many members of the United Nations (UN) (UN) are present, especially at the time of this year's UN General Assembly session, officially recognizing the independent State of Palestine.

These members include: UK, Canada, Australia, Portugal, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta, Monacco, Andorra and San Marino. The members of the United Nations follow a series of members of the United Nations that officially recognized the independent State of Palestine last year. Up to now, more than 150 out of 193 members of the United Nations have officially recognized the independent State of Palestine. This recognition means supporting the establishment of an independent, sovereign and territorial state of Palestine in the Middle East.

Although this recognition currently only has value and international political and legal effects, it also has a very important effect on Palestine and is disadvantageous for Israel and the US. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his stance at this year's UN General Assembly forum, strongly stating that he would not allow the formation of an independent Palestinian state in the Middle East, and strongly criticizing the allies in the Western bloc and the G7 group that have officially recognized the independent state of Palestine.

It is not uncommon for more and more countries in the world to officially recognize the State of Palestine, but what is most noteworthy is that more and more members of the Western bloc are working on that. These countries have been allies of Israel for decades and have barely stopped Israel from increasing its tensions with Palestine, except for a few times of expressing their opposition in name.

The trend of supporting Palestine, especially in the form of officially recognizing the independent State of Palestine, will continue to increase in the world. International pressure will also increase on the US and Israel to quickly end the war in the Gaza Strip, end the illegal occupation of Palestinian territory and promote the establishment of an independent, sovereign and peaceful state of Palestine in the Middle East.

Mr. Netanyahu expressed his steadfast views, but even US President Donald Trump could not ignore and underestimate the practical impact of this new development. The 21 point-based peace plan that Trump has just revealed for the Gaza Strip includes both moving towards the formation of an independent Palestinian state and excluding Israel's merger of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank of Jordan into Israeli territory.

Western bloc countries have moved to officially recognize the independent state of Palestine due to disagreements with the US and Israel on ending the war in the Gaza Strip, because they are not satisfied when Israel prevents emergency humanitarian relief activities for people in the Gaza Strip. They are aware that if they do not increase pressure on Israel and the US, they will lose the trust of the majority of countries in the world. They realized that if they did not recognize the independent State of Palestine now, there would be no chance to take advantage of the world-political effect of recognition because the US and Israel would attack further.

This recognition is a very important and decisive step in the policies of the above countries towards Palestine, Israel and the US. But clearly, just that is not enough. What needs to be done is to realize that recognition in practice, that is, help form a truly independent, sovereign and territorial State of Palestine.
