German Boeing plane encounters incident, makes emergency landing in Japan

A German cargo plane made an emergency landing at Narita airport near Tokyo on the morning of August 27 due to a hydraulic system problem.

On the morning of August 27 (local time), according to Xinhua news agency, a German AeroLogic cargo plane made an emergency landing at Narita airport, near Tokyo, Japan. The incident did not cause any casualties, local media reported.

According to sources, the Boeing 777 carrying 3 crew members made an emergency landing at around 7:40 am local time due to problems with the hydraulic system.

The plane departed from Leipzig, Germany and was en route to Narita Airport. After landing, the plane stopped on the runway and was then pulled out of the area, according to the Narita Airport office of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan.

The incident caused a runway at Narita airport to be temporarily closed for about 30 minutes. Operations at the airport were then restored.

No crew members were injured in the incident.

AeroLogic is a German cargo transport airline, headquartered in Leipzig. The airline operates a Boeing 777 cargo fleet and operates international cargo flights.

Narita International Airport is one of the main airports serving the Tokyo area and is an important hub for air cargo transportation in Japan.

There is currently no information about the level of damage to the aircraft or the time needed to put the aircraft back into operation. Japanese authorities are continuing to verify the cause of the incident.
