The US is expected to establish the first multinational drone strike force, with the expected participation of partners in the Middle East region.

On August 13 (local time), according to TASS news agency, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced plans to establish the first multinational, multi-regional drone strike force called Task Force Falcon Strike.

According to CENTCOM, the new force will use unmanned systems operating in the air, on water and under the sea, operated by US military personnel and partners in the region. This will be a force focused on one-way attack drone operations.

CENTCOM Commander, Admiral Brad Cooper, said Task Falcon Strike was developed based on Task Force Scorpion Strike, a unit established on December 3, 2025 and the first one-way attack drone specialized squadron of the US military in the Middle East.

CENTCOM said it has begun consulting and inviting partners in the region to join the new force. When countries officially join, the scale and capabilities of Task Falcon Strike will continue to expand.

According to CENTCOM, the combination of unmanned systems and US capabilities with regional partners aims to form a multinational coordination mechanism, operating in many different environments.

Admiral Cooper said Task Falcon Strike will inherit the results from Scorpion Strike, while taking advantage of technological advances being developed in US allies and partners in the region.

The establishment of Task Falcon Strike took place only 9 months after CENTCOM established Scorpion Strike, showing the increasing role of unmanned systems in US military operations in the Middle East.

CENTCOM has not yet announced the specific list of countries that have officially participated in Task Falcon Strike. According to the commander's announcement, the process of consulting and inviting regional partners is still ongoing.
