Vance Vice President noted that Kiev is still capable of receiving weapons from Washington, but in the form of payment from Europe and the US will "completely agree with that".
However, with the US directly supplying weapons to Ukraine, Mr. Vance said: "We will not sponsor it ourselves anymore".
In an interview, Vance said that European countries that support Kiev should play a greater role in providing finances if they are "more concerned about this conflict".
Mr. Vance said that Washington's suspension of military aid to Kiev was partly because "the American people are tired of continuing to send their tax money into this conflict".
Vance's comments came after he held several meetings with Western and Ukrainian officials in London, including British Foreign Minister David Lammy.

Mr. Vance's trip is said to create leverage for the summit between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin taking place on August 15 in Alaska (USA). This meeting is expected to focus on resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Previously, President Trump revealed that some ideas on a territorial exchange with the goal of meeting the conditions of both sides are expected to be discussed, while noting that President Volodymyr Zelensky should seek to approve such an agreement under Ukrainian law.
However, Mr Zelensky immediately denied it, saying that "no one can or will" give up on the issue and that "Ukrainians will not give up their land" - Mr Zelensky said.
Meanwhile, senior Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev warned that countries that intend to prolong the conflict in Ukraine may do everything possible to sabotage the results of the meeting between President Putin and President Trump.
