Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov on February 4th informed that about 2 million units of ammunition and more than 10,000 weapons have been officially put into service for the Russian armed forces in January 2026.

According to the results of the meeting chaired by Minister Andrey Belousov, in the whole year of 2026, the Russian army is expected to receive more than 310,000 military equipment and about 21 million rounds of ammunition.

In another development, on February 3, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu told TASS that the latest achievements of the Russian defense industry and Western military equipment seized by the Russian army in Ukraine will be displayed at the International Security Forum in Moscow from May 26 to 29.
The forum will have a number of booths, introducing domestic achievements in the development of specialized equipment for security and intelligence agencies, law enforcement agencies, modern products from Russian defense industry enterprises, seized Western military equipment and advanced technology solutions to ensure security," he said.
Mr. Shoigu added, "all law enforcement agencies, large state-owned corporations, banks and large companies will participate in the forum as exhibitors".
The head of the Russian Security Council said that the program has specialized events including roundtables, scientific discussions and press conferences, focusing on many issues such as ensuring international information security, applying artificial intelligence technology, combating neocolonialism, terrorism, extremist ideology, misinformation and manipulation, fighting against illegal migration, and many other contents.
