On October 25, the Governor of Russia's Belgorod region said that Ukraine airstrikes a dam in a local reservoir, causing damage.
In a statement posted on Telegram, Vyacheslav Gladkov said that repeated attacks on the dam could lead to flooding, and advised residents in some areas of the two border settlements of Shebekino and Bezlyudovka to leave their homes for temporary shelter.
The Belgorod region borders the Kharkiv region in eastern Ukraine and has been repeatedly attacked by Kiev since the full-scale conflict between the two sides broke out in 2022.
On the same day, the head of the Kiev military government said that 1 person was killed and 10 others were injured in Kiev in a large-scale airstrike using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of Russia in many areas of Ukraine.
Original reports show that the attack broke glass doors, damaged many cars and created a large hole in the yard of the residential area, Mr. Tymur Tkachenko wrote on Telegram when describing the damage in Kiev.
Tkachenko added that the attacks also caused fire in many places and damaged a kindergarten.

According to the Ukrainian air force, they shot down four of the nine missiles and 50 of the 62 drones launched by Russia in the attack across Ukraine.
The force also reported that 5 missiles and 12 UAVs directly hit 11 locations across the country.
Notably, these intense firepower exchanges took place in the context of Mr. Kirill Dmitriev - CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special sending man of President Vladimir Putin - sending many optimistic signals about a fairly near future for the solution to the conflict in Eastern Europe.
On October 25, Dmitriev explained that Ukraine had made a significant change in its stance when President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that the issue now was the front lines.
This has led the RDIF director to conclude that Kiev may have abandoned demands for Russia to withdraw troops from all territories before holding talks.
At the same time, European diplomats also said that they are working with Ukraine on a new ceasefire proposal. The proposal is expected to be based on maintaining current front lines and emphasizing the US's indispensable central role in this process.
