Fatima Othman makes a living as a beggar on the streets of Beirut. At the age of 52, she suddenly had a heart attack and passed away in a scrap car.
Local police received the report and were present at the scene. The first thing that surprised them was the plastic bags containing a total of 5 million pounds of Libang (about 3,400 USD) next to Ms. Othman.
It is still confusing, the group of police officers were "shocked" to see that her bank savings book had a converted value of more than 1 million USD in it.
Due to a congenital disease, Othman's hands were unable to move, and she could not walk. A resident of Beirut's Barbir district said she has lived by leniency for more than 20 years.
Ms. Othman is homeless and often stays overnight in someone else's rented car. Every month, a strange man appears and takes her to see a doctor and then back the next day.
The police discovered the address of Ms. Othman's mother, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. They live in the northern Libang and no one knows about the great fortune of the deceased. The family later took Ms. Othman's body back to her hometown for burial.
