Mr. Putin suggests Russian businesses cooperate with Elon Musk

Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that Russian companies should cooperate with Elon Musk after this billionaire returned to focusing on science.

RT reported that at the Future Technology Forum in Moscow recently, President Putin spoke with Gazprombank Vice President Dmitry Zauers about new technology developments.

Mr. Putin was introduced to a soft biological matrix that can detect and prevent damage to the cerebral cortex, such as the language area, during surgeries to remove tumors.

Zauers described the technology as Russia's answer to Elon Musk, whose company Neuralink is also researching brain transplants, implying that Russia has its own scientific and technological achievements that can be on par with or counter Elon Musk in the field of brain transplants.

Mr. Putin was also introduced to a new type of battery being developed in Russia, designed for use in robots, space systems, diving equipment and automated works.

During the presentation, the Russian president suggested that Elon Musk's future scientific work could bring opportunities for Russian businesses.

"Elon Musk will complete the reform of the US administrative apparatus, and then return to science. You should cooperate with him," President Putin told Zauers. "We have agreed to cooperate in the space sector, so why not cooperate in this sector anymore?" - he added.

Gazprom officials say Russian batteries could be installed in the SpaceX spacecraft, noting that the energy capacity of Russian batteries is 10% higher than the type currently used in Elon Musk's missiles.

Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and Neuralink, is a pioneer in the field of private space exploration and research on brain-computing interfaces. SpaceX develops reusable missiles, while Neuralink studies brain transplants to support people with neurological diseases.

Since President Donald Trump returned to the White House on January 20, 2025, Elon Musk has served as a consultant to the US government in cutting federal spending. The Trump administration has recently clarified in legal documents that Elon Musk is not in office but only acts as an outside advisor.
