US President Donald Trump has announced plans to hold a large-scale event in Washington D.C. on July 4, the time when the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of its founding.
In a post on the social network Truth Social, Mr. Trump said the event will take place in the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument area. The US leader described this as "the most grand TRUMP rally of all rallies" and a program themed "Honoring America".
According to the announced plan, the event will begin at 7 pm US Eastern time. Mr. Trump said the anniversary will honor the people, spirit, strength, will, and victories of the United States.
The US President also revealed that the program is expected to have the participation of more than 300 members from military bands and ceremonial units of the US military. Participants will perform patriotic songs, classic American works and music lists selected by Mr. Trump himself.
In addition to music programs, the event is also planned with aerial performances by military aircraft. Mr. Trump said there will be many aviation performances within the framework of the anniversary.
According to the US leader's statement, the program will close with a fireworks display that he described as "the largest in history".
