On November 19, shocking details about the peace plan that the US presidential administration of Donald Trump is drafting were just revealed, shocking observers.
According to Christopher Miller, a prestigious journalist at the Financial Times, the plan includes extremely harsh terms for Kiev, notably the requirement to force Ukraine to reduce its military size by half and accept severe arms restrictions.
Writing on social network X, Miller cited sources as saying that the US side had directly presented the proposal to the Ukrainian side through a special high-level communication channel.
US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff and Russian special missionary Kirill Dmitriev have handed over the plan to Mr. Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council of Ukraine.
According to journalist Miller, the plan includes three core provisions that are considered the most disadvantageous to Kiev to date: the Ukrainian military will be cut by 50%, must abandon certain weapons and accept the abandonment of the Donbass region.
The Financial Times journalist said the plan would be on par with Ukraine's surrender because it would meet most of the maximum demands the Kremlin has set out.
Kiev's response was described as very negative. Miller said President Zelensky was " dissatisfied" with the proposal.
This information is consistent with previous reports of a meeting in Turkey being canceled and the US awaiting a response from Kiev.
However, publicly, Russia has maintained a cautious denial attitude. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said she had not received any official information from Washington about the "agreements".
Previously, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also affirmed that the two sides were not working on any new initiatives other than pre-existing agreements, although Western sources have repeatedly affirmed the opposite.
