On June 16, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian force launched a Iskander ballistic missile against a Ukrainian military headquarters located in the town of Druzhkovka - an area controlled by Kiev in the Donetsk People's Republic.
The Russian side said the target of the destruction was a large industrial building, believed to be the workplace of officers from the Lugansk Combat Force Command.
Video released by the Russian Defense Ministry recorded the moment two missiles fell on a building in a row, believed to be taken from a drone. This project is located in a former Soviet-era factory.
Druzhkovka is located about 30km northwest of the town of Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk) - which was a key stronghold of Ukraine before being controlled by Russian forces in February.
The time of the attack was not stated, but the above video appeared since June 14 on a Telegram channel that specializes in tracking the Ukrainian conflict.
The Iskander is a modern Russian tactical missile system with a range of up to 500km and can carry a 480kg warhead. With a speed of about Mach 6 (7,408 km/h, 6 times the speed of sound), this type of weapon is very difficult to intercept, especially suitable for high-value targets and requiring quick attack.
The Russian Defense Ministry also announced that it had used Iskander to attack the IRIS-T air defense system provided by Germany to Ukraine, a combat military camp and an airfield believed to be used to launch suicide UAVs into Russian territory.
