RT reported that on February 20, billionaire Elon Musk said that the results of the Ukrainian people's survey on the level of trust in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were arranged, which was unreliable.
In a post on social media X, billionaire Elon Musk said that Mr. Zelensky could not win if the election took place, and challenged: "I challenge Mr. Zelensky to organize an election to refute this."
Elon Musk - an important ally of US President Donald Trump - continues to affirm that ignoring President Zelensky is completely correct and supports the idea of peace negotiations for Eastern Europe without the participation of Ukraine.
Billionaire Elon Musk's comments came after the news appeared on X, saying the US government had funded the Kiev International Institute for Sociology (KIIS) to conduct a confidence poll and the results showed that 57% of Ukrainians trust Mr. Zelensky.
Previously, President Trump said Ukraine may have to hold elections and affirmed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was not in fact popular with the people. He (white President Zelensky) has only 4% support, Trump said on February 18.
According to KIIS, Zelensky's support reached 90% in the first months of the conflict with Russia in 2022, but has since dropped to 50% due to losses on the battlefield and prolonged economic problems.
Meanwhile, last month, Ukrainian media cited a Socis poll that showed only 40% of Ukrainians still trust Mr Zelensky, while nearly 72% trust former Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny, who is currently the Ambassador to London.
Mr Zelensky has not yet responded to the above comments.
President Zelensky has affirmed that he is completely not afraid of holding elections at the present time, but if he does so, it will cause a wave of protests from the people, causing Ukraine to be divided, because Ukraine is currently in a state of martial law.
