TASS reported on July 21 that in Vladimir province (central Russia), a UAV crashed into an apartment on the upper floor of an apartment building and caused a fire.
Governor of Vladimir province Alexander Avdeyev said that the apartment was uninhabited at the time of the incident.
According to initial information, the attack did not cause casualties. Rescue and firefighters quickly arrived at the scene, controlled the fire on an area of about 25m2 and completely extinguished the fire.
Local authorities are evacuating residents to ensure safety and serve the scene inspection work.
Meanwhile, in Rostov province, Governor Yury Slyusar said that the air defense system intercepted UAVs and missiles in the city of Rostov on the Don River (Rostov-on-Don) and 4 other localities in the region.
Fallen UAV debris caused a wildfire in Milyutinsky. According to local authorities, the incident did not cause casualties and did not threaten nearby residential areas. Firefighters are still continuing to deal with the fire.
On the same day, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the country's air defense forces shot down 209 Ukrainian UAVs on the night of July 20 (local time).
According to the announcement, the UAVs were shot down in many areas, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov, Ryazan, Moscow, Krasnodar, Stavropol, the Crimean peninsula and the airspace above the Azov Sea and the Black Sea.
