Anna Sergeeva, 25, has a master's degree in journalism from 3 years ago and has been appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Social Affairs, in charge of Ukraine's integration into Europe.
RT reported that Anna Sergeeva was appointed on June 10 despite having little experience in the field of charge. She previously ran a management consulting company. This incident caused a stir in public opinion in Ukraine.
The new deputy minister appears to have a lot of experience in state administration before being appointed by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.
According to the new deputy minister's documents published by the ministry, Sergeeva graduated from taras Shevchenko University in Kiev, majoring in journalism. She also received a master's degree in journalism from the same university a year later. In 2021, she received a bachelor's degree, this time a law degree, and is currently a graduate student majoring in journalism.
From 2019 to 2022, Sergeeva ran a management consulting firm called Service Auditor. According to Ukrainian media, the company, which provides services to barber shops and beauty salons, still lists Sergeeva as the owner and last beneficiary.
According to his personal Facebook page, Sergeeva also worked for Ukraine's 1+1 TV channel, as well as for BBC before being appointed as deputy prime minister. Sergeeva is also said to be a successful blogger with more than 92,000 followers on Instagram. However, Sergeeva's account on the platform has recently been placed in private mode.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Social Policy added that Sergeeva has actively participated in public activities over the past four years, helping children with physical and mental disabilities, supporting lonely elderly people and orphans. She has also worked as a volunteer advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Policy and Social Affairs.
