Some provinces and cities have clearly defined the Lunar New Year holiday for students in the 2024-2025 school year plan.
For example, in Ho Chi Minh City, according to the Lunar New Year holiday schedule stipulated in the 2024-2025 school year time plan issued by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, this school year, more than 1.7 million preschool children and students from primary to high school in Ho Chi Minh City will have the Lunar New Year holiday starting from January 25, 2025 (ie December 26th of the lunar calendar) to February 2, 2025 (ie January 5th of the lunar calendar).
Based on the above Lunar New Year holiday schedule, including weekends before and after the specified time, students in Ho Chi Minh City have a total of 9 days off.
Meanwhile, with the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday schedule, students in Ho Chi Minh City will have a holiday from February 5, 2024 (ie the 26th day of the 12th lunar month) to February 18, 2024 (ie the 9th day of the Lunar New Year). Including weekends before and after the prescribed time, students in Ho Chi Minh City will have a total of 16 days off.
Thus, in the near future, students in Ho Chi Minh City will have 7 days less Tet holiday (2025) than last year.
Or in Yen Bai, for students: The Lunar New Year holiday is 14 days long, from January 22, 2025 to February 4, 2025 (from December 23, Giap Thin year to January 7, At Ty year).
Holidays and annual leave: Comply with current regulations and holiday exchange according to State regulations.
In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, according to the 2024 - 2025 school year plan, schools will have Lunar New Year holidays starting from January 25, 2025 (December 26) to February 6, 2025 (January 9).
Recently, after receiving a dispatch from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs on the proposal for holidays and Tet in 2025, the Ministry of Home Affairs agreed in principle that cadres, civil servants and public employees will have 9 days off for Tet.
Accordingly, the traditional Tet holiday will be from January 25, 2025 (December 26, year of the Dragon) to February 2, 2025 (January 5, year of the Snake).
