Militarnyi reported that Ukrainian Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said that Ukraine has just launched the Brave1 Market e-commerce platform, specializing in trading defense products.
This platform allows military units to choose and purchase combat equipment using their own budgets. Brave1 Market operates as a regular online store, but instead of consumer goods, the products sold are military equipment.
According to Militarnyi, there are currently more than 1,000 listed items, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), ground robots, reconnaissance equipment, electronic warfare equipment, weapons components and many other important weapons and equipment.
Previously, Ukrainian units often had to find manufacturers or developers themselves through personal relationships, social networks or ask for information from other units. This in many cases limits access to necessary equipment.
Brave1 Market was born to simplify that process, allowing users to easily compare solutions, contact the manufacturer directly and sign a contract. This platform also aims to disseminate effective technologies that many units may not know, thereby improving operational efficiency on the field.
However, for security reasons, users are required to authenticate through the government-powered Diia application to be able to access the platform. The plan to build Brave1 Market was revealed by Ukraine in February.
Not stopping there, Kiev is also developing a component library for domestic manufacturers, aiming to strengthen domestic cooperation and reduce dependence on imports.
Although there is no official information about the specific name or launch date, the platform is said to have granted access to more than 100 users and currently has 55 listed products in many different categories.
