The citizen protection news of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on the evening of 10.2 said that 3 Vietnamese citizens on fishing vessels were overturned in Korea.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Korea said that at dawn on 9.2, 1 Korean fishing boat and 14 crew members were flipped on the sea area 20 nautical miles east of Goemun, Yeosu City, Jeollanam Province, South Korea.

Among those in victims, three Vietnamese people were rescued, treated at the hospital and 1 person who was missing.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea coordinated with the local authorities to find out information.

The Ambassador directed the Labor Management Board to request the company to send and the authorities to identify the crew members' identity, contact the family and guide the necessary procedures.

Currently, the health of the two crews has been rescued and has contacted the family.

Following the direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea is working closely with the local authorities to closely monitor the process of rescue and rescue of Vietnamese citizens who are disappearing and Ready to support, protect and ensure the legitimate and complete rights and interests of Vietnamese citizens.
