At a press conference on the afternoon of February 13, the press asked Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang to comment on the information that during the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in January, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam is ready to provide a location and make the best efforts to organize activities to find peaceful solutions to conflicts.
On January 21, in Davos, Switzerland, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a brief meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the occasion of attending the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized Vietnam's balanced, objective and consistent stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which is that all disputes need to be resolved by peaceful means, in accordance with the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, including respect for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, not using force or threatening to use force, taking into account the legitimate interests of the parties involved; supporting the mediation efforts of the international community to seek a lasting peaceful solution to the conflict with the participation of all parties involved, in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter; and being ready to participate in the efforts of the international community to promote dialogue and seek peaceful solutions to end the current conflict soon.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that as a responsible member of the international community, Vietnam hosted the second US-North Korea summit and is ready to provide a venue and make the best efforts to organize activities to find peaceful solutions to conflicts in the world.
Responding to questions from the press, Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang shared: "Vietnam supports the mediation efforts of the international community to seek a long-term peaceful solution to conflicts with the participation of all relevant parties, in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter."
The spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized: "We are also ready to join the efforts of the international community to promote dialogue and seek peaceful solutions to soon end the current conflict."
