On the morning of September 16, at Tan Son Nhat Hotel (Duc Nhuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), a press conference was held to announce the Predator WPA Men's 10-Ball World Championship 2025.
This is the first time Vietnam has become the host country of a world billiards pool championship, and is also the third country in the world to have this honor, after the two leading powers of this sport, the Philippines and the US.

The event will be held at Military Region 7 Gymnasium (HCMC) from September 17 to 28, 2025, gathering 96 top players in the world, including many stars who have affirmed their names such as Carlo Biado (reigning champion), Fedor Gorst, Joshua Filler, Shane Van Boening, Eklent Kaci, Ko Pin Yi, Ko Ping Chung, ...
Vietnam has 2 athletes participating in the final round, Duong Quoc Hoang and Pham Phuong Nam. In addition, other Vietnamese players still have the opportunity to participate through the warm-up round.

To prepare for the tournament, the organizing committee has invested in a lot with 22 competition tables, 3 practice tables, 15 tons of equipment, and nearly 1,200 hotel nights serving about 200 athletes.
Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh - CEO of Box Billiards said: "This is one of the longest billiards events in the history of pool, with 12 days of competition. We have prepared for more than 15 months, coordinating with Predator and the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation to ensure the best experience for players and audiences".

Along with the main tournament, fans also have the opportunity to watch two other international tournaments, Box Billiards Mixed Doubles Open 2025 (taking place from September 17 to 19), the 10 men's and women's doubles event, with a total prize of 100,000 USD (more than 2.6 billion VND). The Poison Cues Saigon Women's 9-Ball Open 2025 (taking place from September 20 to 26), with a total prize of 75,000 USD (nearly 2 billion VND).
The event series is jointly organized by Box Billiards, Predator and the Ho Chi Minh City Billiards & Snooker Federation. The official opening ceremony took place on the evening of September 19, the world tournament finals started from September 20 and ended on September 28, 2025.
