Many trips, staying
One of the reasons why teams are promoting transfer activities at this time is that the 2026 National Championship Charter has been issued by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation. In addition, many quality strikers have also entered the period of expiration of contracts with their old teams, thereby attracting the attention of potential teams.
The newcomer team of the 2026 National Championship, Hanoi women's team, is actively transferring forces. 2 players who competed in SEA Games 33, middle blocker Le Thanh Thuy and main blocker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, reached preliminary agreements to join this team. Thanh Thuy will leave her old team LPBank Ninh Binh while Nhu Quynh has completed her contract with Quang Ninh team.
The Hanoi women's team is connecting with coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet to find common ground (if appropriate). The reigning LPBank Ninh Binh women's runner-up is expected to add 6 new faces to replace the old players who will terminate their contracts. Among these, setter Bich Thuy of the Duc Giang Chemical team is predicted to join the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital team. Another hitter who is said to be able to join the LPBank Ninh Binh team is main attacker Nguyen Thi Uyen. However, the player will work specifically with the old Hung Yen team before making a final decision. Nguyen Thi Uyen's contract with the Hung Yen women's team ends on December 31st.
Meanwhile, teams such as VTV Binh Dien Long An (reigning national champion), Binh Chung Thong Tin, Vietinbank, Duc Giang Chemicals or Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement still maintain their caution.
Representatives of many women's football teams of the 2026 National Championship share the view that player transfers (if any) must always be carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, avoiding unfortunate controversies.
Current situation of youth player training
Not only in the 2026 season, every time the National Volleyball Championship was about to kick off in previous years, player transfers took place with many contract changes. The common point is that teams with strong finances will spend a large amount of money transferring players. Teams with good regulations all retain core players.
In fact, the National Volleyball Championship has narrowed the number to 8 teams participating in the women's event. This is what puts great pressure on the teams in terms of expertise to ensure achievements. The coaching staff does not risk waiting for young players to play in important matches. Therefore, the top priority of the teams is still to recruit players with good expertise, who have established their names in positions that need to be strengthened. Therefore, many faces preparing for the 2026 season are being "hunted" by the teams, but contracts are only announced when there is a valid signature between the parties.
Vietnamese women's volleyball is adapting to the transfer trend of modern sports. Players with expertise are given good contract conditions, ensuring income and career; while teams with potential can recruit top faces to build strong forces. However, in the long term and to maintain identity, teams still need to focus on training "homegrown" players with sufficient capacity to create professional value. The case of main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy (VTV Binh Dien Long An) is clear evidence.
