Thanh Thuy returned to training
Owner Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has just had training sessions with the parent team VTV Binh Dien Long An while waiting for a visa to join Kuzeyboru (Turkey).
Previously, Thanh Thuy competed in stage 1 of SEA V.League 2024 with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team when her physical condition was not in the best condition. She did not compete in stage 2 and spent time recuperating.
During the training session with VTV Binh Dien Long An club today (August 23), the team's leadership came to the practice field to encourage Thanh Thuy and the VTV Binh Dien Long An girls.
Difficulties of the Vietnamese women's team
From the beginning of 2024 until now, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has competed in 4 international tournaments. In the near future, the team will continue to fight in VTV Cup 2024. Sharing about the team's performance, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that there will be more difficulties than last year.
In 2023, the Vietnamese team will have a consistent competitive framework, creating cohesion and stability. But this year, team captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy did not play much. In return, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen emerged and performed better, but still needed more time to develop.
"This year, some athletes like Kieu Trinh and Tu Linh have not reached their peak performance in phase 1 of the season. We have many injuries in the squad. The reason is because the players practice and compete a lot. , there is no break.
The number of players in the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is only about 14-15 people, so there is not much competition. In 2024, the players have overcome many difficulties and above all maintained high spirit," Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared.
Impressive lineup of Chinese representatives at VTV Cup
In VTV Cup 2024, Henan Shuanghui (China) is one of the previous representatives participating in the competition. They came to Vietnam with 13 athletes and impressed with their outstanding height. Henan Shuanghui's squad has 7 players over 1m87 tall, including 4 players over 1m90 tall.
Their three assistants, Yichen, Ruoqi and Boyan, are 1m86, 1m92 and 1m92 tall, promising to bring challenges to their opponents. Even their libero has a good height of 1m76 and is also the only one under 1m8.
In this tournament, Henan Shuanghui fell into Group B including the teams King Whale (Taiwan), Korabelka (Russia) and Ananmare (Japan).
