Kim Hue remembers 20 years of VTV Cup
The year 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the VTV Cup women's volleyball tournament. After two decades of development, the tournament has become a place for athletes to gain wings, creating opportunities to compete with many quality opponents.
In 2004, former player Kim Hue and her teammates competed in the first VTV Cup held. Returning to the tournament after 20 years as a guest, she emotionally shared:
”It's been 20 years, VTV Cup 2004 - VTV Cup 2024. Time keeps passing, and we get older. That's why beautiful youth cannot be returned, only beautiful memories remain. Farewell, memorable youth!
VTV Binh Dien Long An went to Japan for training
VTV Binh Dien Long An recently received an invitation from the PFU Blue Cats club to train in Japan. The team will leave around the end of September 2024.
PFU Blue Cats is the club that Tran Thi Thanh Thuy recently played for. Thanks to the good relationship between the two sides, the youth of VTV Binh Dien Long An will have a trip to learn and accumulate valuable experience.
Japan is Asia's leading volleyball country. The women's volleyball team of the land of the rising sun is currently ranked 7th in the world. Practicing in a quality environment, young Vietnamese girls will improve before phase 2 of the season.
The Information Army won the youth tournament
In the final of the 2024 national youth club volleyball tournament, the Information Corps defeated Duc Giang Chemical to be crowned champion.
Nguyen Trong Linh and his team won 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-20). Thus, the Information Corps successfully took revenge after finishing second in last year's youth tournament.
The 4 teams with the best results at this year's tournament are the Information Corps, Duc Giang Chemical, Industry and Trade Bank and Thanh Hoa.
