Ho Chi Minh City received a reward of 1 billion VND
After winning the 2024 National A-League Championship and earning a ticket to play in the National Championship next season, the Ho Chi Minh City women's volleyball team continued to receive good news. During the celebration ceremony, coach Tran Thi Thu Hien and her team received a bonus of 1 billion VND from the sponsor.
This is a source of encouragement for the girls of the Southern team in the process of preparing all aspects for next year's tournament.
Head coach Tran Thi Thu Hien shared that the HCMC women's volleyball team will have a short break, then quickly return to training for the new cycle. The coaching staff will review the force, with the goal of finding more foreign players and better quality domestic players, to supplement the weak positions of the team.
Vietnam Volleyball seeks sponsorship
Currently, the national volleyball championship is being sponsored by businessman Dao Huu Huyen's company (Bau Huyen) for 3 seasons (2022, 2023, 2024). This sponsorship contract will end in 2024.
It is known that the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) still hopes to re-sign a new sponsorship contract with this unit. VFV General Secretary Le Tri Truong said that after the second phase of the 2024 national championship ends, VFV and its partners will work specifically to make final decisions.
In fact, VFV is still looking for additional sponsors to have more social resources to organize the tournament. In case it is not possible to sign a new sponsorship contract with the partner, Huyen's company, Vietnamese volleyball still has to organize the tournament in the national system and the search for additional sponsors is being carried out.
National Championship may be adjusted in 2025
Volleyball continues to be included in the competition content of the host country Thailand at the 33rd SEA Games. The time of this Games is expected to be from December 9 to 20, 2025.
Because the Vietnam National Volleyball Championship usually takes place in 2 rounds including phase 1 and phase 2, in which the end of the year is the end of the season, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the Department of Physical Education and Sports will certainly have careful calculations to have a suitable schedule, helping the 2 Vietnamese men's and women's volleyball teams conveniently participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
