VietinBank replaces foreign players
In preparation for the second phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship, foreign player Katarina Pilepic (Croatia) came to Vietnam to practice with the VietinBank women's team. However, it is known that during the training process, this player was injured and cannot compete for the Banking team in the upcoming phase.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team immediately began looking for a replacement foreign player before the tournament started. Most likely, hitter Bogdana Anisova will return to VietinBank. Last year, Anisova played for VietinBank and helped the club finish 5th in the national volleyball championship.
2024 FIFA Club World Cup host team confirmed
According to the latest announcement from the International Women's Volleyball Federation (FIVB), Tianjin Bohai Club will be the team representing host China at the 2024 World Club Championship, taking place from December 17 to 22.
The matches will be held at the Huanglong Sports Centre - a venue with a capacity of 8,000 people.
The eight club teams that will compete in this tournament are Imoco Volley (Italy - 2024 European champions), Vero Volley Milano (Italy - 2024 European runners-up), Minas Tenis Clube (Brazil - 2024 South American champions), Dentil Praia Clube (Brazil - 2024 South American runners-up), LPB Ninh Binh (Vietnam - 2024 Asian finalists), NEC Red Rockets (Japan - 2024 Asian finalists), Zamalek SC (Egypt - 2024 African champions) and Tianjin Bohai (China).
Ha Tinh foreign players possess impressive statistics
Jorge Gonzalez Garcia is a foreign player of the Ha Tinh men's volleyball team in the second phase of the 2024 national championship. The Cuban striker has an impressive height (2m04), weighs 82kg and is right-handed.
This hitter has a blocking range of up to 3m40, a jump of 3m70, and agile movements. These statistics show that Garcia promises to be a fearsome explosive force for Ha Tinh in phase 2.
