Indonesian national player, Nandita Ayu recently posted a photo with striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy on her personal Instagram. The two met in Indonesia and have a friendly relationship with each other.
In the post, Nandita Ayu also tagged Indonesian volleyball star Megawati, expressing her excitement at meeting Thanh Thuy again.
Nandita Ayu and her team Jakarta Pertamina Enduro will face Thanh Thuy (Gresik Petrokimia team) in the opening match of the Indonesian National Volleyball Championship tomorrow (January 5).
Vietnam Volleyball to participate in 11 tournaments in 2025
Today (January 4), the 5th Executive Committee Meeting of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) took place in Hanoi. In addition to summarizing achievements, evaluating good points as well as those that need to be overcome in 2024, VFV also looks forward to plans for the new year 2025.
This year continues to be a busy year for Vietnam's national volleyball teams. In total, the two men's and women's teams and the Vietnam U21 women's team will participate in 11 international tournaments.
Accordingly, the women's team will participate in the AVC Challenge Cup, the World Championship, 2 SEA V.League stages, VTV Cup, SEA Games 33; the men's team will participate in the AVC Challenge Cup, 2 SEA V.League stages, SEA Games 33; the U21 women's team will participate in the 21 World Cup.
The tournaments are mostly similar to last year, except for the national women's team and the U21 women's team, which will participate in a world-level tournament. The men's and women's teams will also focus on the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of the year in Thailand, with the goal of reaching the final.
Libero Thanh Lien retires
Recently, libero Le Thi Thanh Lien of the Duc Giang Chemicals team announced that she would temporarily stop playing to spend time with her family. This is news that made many fans of the current runner-up team of the national championship regretful.
Previously, Thanh Lien had temporarily stopped competing, but due to Duc Giang Chemicals' difficulties with personnel, she returned in the second phase of the 2024 national championship to strengthen the team's defense.
Many people think that because Mr. Huyen's team just signed a 3-year contract with libero Le Yen, Thanh Lien can rest assured and focus on personal plans.
