Financial difficulties are one of the obstacles that prevents the Hung Yen women's team from finding foreign players to play in round 1, but the team will focus resources on round 2 (playing in October).
In the opposite direction, three teams including Hoa Chat Duc Giang women's team, Binh Chung Thong Tin team and The Cong Tan Cang men's team announced the hiring of 2 foreign players to strengthen their strength. Hoa Chat Duc Giang team chose two Thai players and one of them is the familiar setter Tichaya Boonlert. The remaining foreign player will be a familiar main attacker in Thai women's volleyball.
Meanwhile, two Chinese foreign players (Che Wenhan, Sun Jie) joined the Women's Information Corps team with a small cost. According to shares, the transfer fee for Che Wenhan, Sun Jie to come to Vietnam to play is within the affordability of the Information Corps team. The Cong Tan Cang team has continued to hire Indonesian player Rivan and another foreign player to be present in Dong Anh (Hanoi) to play in April.
Last year, Rivan played for The Cong Tan Cang team and won the runner-up title of the 2025 National Championship with the team.
Foreign players must be suitable for domestic players
Round 1 of the 2026 National Club Volleyball Championship takes place from April 6 to April 19 in Dong Anh (Hanoi). Each team has a different achievement goal. However, at the present time, not every team is putting in all their effort to hire famous, high-value foreign players to join the squad. Because, professional factors will determine the selection.

Or Striker Evandro (Brazil) with Sanest Khanh Hoa team won the championship in 2023 and Jakkrit Thanomnoi (Thailand) continuously won with Bien Phong MB team in the 2024, 2025 finals.
Meanwhile, foreign hitters Joyce Agbolossou (Germany) or Roni Jones-Perry (USA) are not too famous, but they combine with domestic players to help VTV Binh Dien Long An team successively win the national championship in 2024 and 2025.
