Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club continues to have home advantage when hosting the group stage of the AFC Champions League for Women (commonly known as the Asian Women's Cup C1) 2025-2026.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has just announced the list of seeds and home teams for the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Women's Group stage. Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will continue to be given the right to host a group, along with Wuhan Jiangda (China) and ISPE (Myanmar).

The tournament has 12 participating teams, divided into 3 groups, competing in a round-robin to select 8 teams to the quarter-finals, including 6 first and second-placed teams and 2 third-place teams with the best results. Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club is ranked in seed group No. 2 and is the only representative of Southeast Asian women's football to directly participate in the group stage.

According to the competition schedule, the group in Vietnam will take place from November 13 to 19, the group in Myanmar from November 9 to 15 and the group in China from November 17 to 23. Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club is still competing with domestic players without adding foreign players or overseas Vietnamese players to the continental playground.

Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi said that finding quality foreign players in the short term is very difficult, while good overseas Vietnamese players have all had contracts with foreign clubs.

In the previous season, Ho Chi Minh City women's club also hosted the group stage at Thong Nhat Stadium, passing the group stage and making a mark when they came back to beat Abu Dhabi Country (UAE) 5-4 in the quarter-finals. However, the team stopped in the semi-finals after losing to Wuhan Jiangda.
