"The matches in the group stage have shown the quality of the teams' squads. However, the semi-final match will be completely different. Each team must definitely prepare very carefully, said Mr. Tran Thanh Tung - representative of the professional supervision board of the second phase of the 2025 National Championship.
Currently, the MB Border Guard and VTV Binh Dien Long An teams are the reigning national champions. They continue to be highly appreciated for their good results in the semi-finals.
Border Defense MB will meet host LPBank Ninh Binh in the semi-finals of this year's tournament. In the group stage, Border Guard MB won 3-2. However, both teams are cautious for the semi-final match because this is the decisive moment.
Coaches Tran Dinh Tien (Bien Phong MB) and Bui Trung Thao (LPBank Ninh Binh) will have to have professional contracts to prepare for their students.
Meanwhile, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team entered the semi-finals of the National Volleyball Championship for the first time. They will compete against The Cong Tan Cang to compete for a ticket to the final.
Both teams have many qualified players. In particular, foreign players Rivan (The Cong Tan Cang) and Kubiak (Ho Chi Minh City Police) have outstanding expertise.
For the women's event, coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and her students will compete in the semi-finals against the Vietinbank team. This is truly a professional competition because the two head coaches (Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa - VTV Binh Dien Long An, Nguyen Tuan Kiet - Vietinbank) are not strangers to each other.
At the recent training session of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team, Mr. Kiet was the head coach and Ms. Hoa was the assistant in the coaching staff.
If VTV Binh Dien Long An wins the semi-finals, the team will have enough opportunities to defend the championship they are holding. On the contrary, the Vietinbank team really wants to have positive results because the players are starting to get into their form.
The Information Corps team is emerging as a championship candidate after having qualified for the semi-finals. The army team will meet the host LPBank Ninh Binh. The two teams met in the group stage of phase 2 not long ago and the Information Corps won 3-1.
However, coaches Pham Van Long (Information Corps) and Thai Thanh Tung (LPBank Ninh Binh) are still carefully preparing to find the most optimal professional solution for the semi-final match. The last time the Information Corps won the national championship was in 2021 while LPBank Ninh Binh won the championship in 2023.
