The Information Corps women's volleyball team officially has a place in the semi-finals of the 2025 National Championship. With this result, coach Pham Van Long became one of the most successful participants in the national semi-finals in history.
After retiring, Mr. Pham Van Long was invited by the Information Corps team to return as the head coach of the team from the beginning of 2025.
Previously, coach Pham Van Long was the head coach of the Information Corps team, Bac Ninh team and Duc Giang Chemicals team.
In 2017, coach Pham Van Long officially retired from the Information Corps unit. In his role as head coach of the army team before, this coach and the Information Corps team have reached the semi-finals of the national tournament 13 times.
After that, coach Pham Van Long worked at the Bac Ninh team. Under his leadership, the Bac Ninh team reached the semi-finals of the National Championship in 2019 and 2020.
Last year, coach Pham Van Long was the head coach of the Duc Giang Chemicals team in the second phase of the National Championship. He helped the team reach the final, but only won the runner-up position.
In 2024, the Information Corps team did not make it to the semi-finals of the national tournament. This year, the army team regained their competition results to be present in the 4 strongest teams.
