On the evening of December 26, Nguyen Dinh Bac was honored at the 2025 Vietnam Golden Ball award ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City. The striker born in 2004 won the men's Silver Ball and the title of "Young Player of the Year".
The total prize money of the two titles is 45 million VND. Dinh Bac said that he has transferred the entire amount to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee.
Sharing about his decision, Dinh Bac wrote: "Bac is very happy and happy to receive these 2 noble titles! Bac also asks permission to send the entire prize money of 45 million VND of the 2 titles Bac received to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee.
Because he is training with U23 Vietnam in Qatar to prepare for the 2026 AFC U23 Championship finals, Dinh Bac cannot directly attend the award ceremony. From his station, the player of the Hanoi Police Club sent his thanks to the units that accompanied him in the professional competition process.
In his speech sent back from Qatar, Dinh Bac emphasized his gratitude to the clubs that have trained and created conditions for him to play, especially Song Lam Nghe An, Quang Nam and Cong An Hanoi.
After that, the 21-year-old striker continued to post a more complete version on social networks, expressing gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation, the coaching staff of national teams and fans.
Dinh Bac wrote: "I would also like to thank the Vietnam Football Federation, the U22 coaching staff and the Vietnamese national team for giving me the opportunity to serve and contribute to Vietnamese football...
I promise with this year's title that I myself will try to train really hard, try to play really well to contribute to the country's football".
On the morning of December 27, female player Tran Thi Thuy Trang - Women's Bronze Ball 2025 also had a similar action when transferring the entire 20 million VND prize money to the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
In her sharing, Thuy Trang said that this decision came from the desire to share and spread positive values to the community, and considered this a memorable milestone in the 2025 competition year for her personally and the Vietnamese women's futsal team.
