Ho Chi Minh City Women's Volleyball Team Relegated

HOÀI VIỆT |

Despite their efforts, the Ho Chi Minh City women's volleyball players were unsuccessful and accepted relegation this season.

The match for relegation in the women's event of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship taking place on the afternoon of October 16 was the decisive battle between Hung Yen team and Ho Chi Minh City team. Coaches Tran Van Giap (Hung Yen) and Tran Hien (Ho Chi Minh City) both remain optimistic before the match takes place.

However, Hung Yen players showed their professional advantage thanks to their solidity in their first defensive ability. Along with that, foreign player Helena Grozer and main striker Nguyen Thi Uyen were the two strikers that helped coach Tran Van Giap's team dominate the opponent.

The strength and attacking efficiency of these hitters helped the Hung Yen women's team overwhelm Ho Chi Minh City's blocks. After 3 matches, the Hung Yen women's team won 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-22).

The victory helped coach Tran Van Giap and his team successfully stay in the tournament this year. Meanwhile, the Ho Chi Minh City women's team had to be relegated due to their worst performance in this year's tournament.

Thus, the 2025 National Volleyball Championship has determined the two officially relegated teams, the Tay Ninh men's and Ho Chi Minh City women's. Each team must blame themselves for not being able to show their best form in the first and second stages of the group stage, leading to ineffective results in the end.
